About Employment

Campus Recreation serves more than 500 students and faculty/staff daily and employs about 100 students each year. Our professional staff is committed to student development and sustainability while promoting healthy lifestyles through a diverse range of programs and services. We support the UCCS mission by offering excellent facilities, multiple program areas, and educational experiences that foster a healthy mind, body, and spirit.

Aquatics

Play a key role in ensuring a safe environment in Rec aquatic facilities.

Fitness

Help individuals meet their health and wellness goals by teaching a fitness class, providing personal training, and promoting physical activity.

Tell the Rec Sports story by creating digital and print materials that connect the campus community with recreation programs, facilities and services.

Lead SOLE outdoor trips, programs, and events while supporting participants and operating service areas to promote safe, accessible outdoor adventures for all students.

Internships and Practicum Opportunities

  • Internship Opportunities for Credit
    • You may have the option or have the requirement to complete an internship for credit to complete your degree program. Campus Recreation is open to providing internship opportunities to fulfill that credit requirement. We have some internship opportunities already established based on previous interns, but we can also create an internship experience surrounding the needs of Campus Recreation at the time of the internship in combination of what the intern is looking to gain experience doing.

  • General Internship Opportunities
    • If you are interested in simply gaining experience or learning more about operations and programming we do here at Campus Recreation through an internship opportunity, Campus Recreation is open to providing the opportunity to intern. We have some internship opportunities already established based on previous interns, but we can also create an internship experience surrounding the needs of Campus Recreation at the time of the internship in combination of what the intern is looking to gain experience doing.

  • Practicum Opportunities
    • You may have the option or have the requirement to fulfill a Practicum for a certain number of hours/period of time to complete your degree program. Campus Recreation is open to providing practicum opportunities to assist you in completing your degree program. We have some practicum opportunities already established based on previous student practicum experiences, but we can also create an practicum experience surrounding the needs of Campus Recreation at the time of the practicum in combination of what the student is looking to gain experience doing.
